Steve Gunter married Charlotte Waits in July 1971. They have three daughters - Sheila, Shelly and Tennille. All three of their daughters are graduates of Airport High School. Sheila has 3 girls and 1 son; Shelly has 3 girls; Tenille is single and lives in Florence. Steve and Charlotte renewed their wedding vows on their 25th Wedding anniversary with the same minister that married them in 1971. Not bad for a romance that started on the hotline!

Steve was in the army and is retired from Flou Daniels as an iron foreman.
